About the event
Medtech-iQ Tāmaki Makaurau invites all members of the MedTech ecosystem to this first networking event of 2024! Open to researchers, industry, clinicians, enablers and more, join us for an afternoon of networking and talks from the local community.
This event will also feature a series of research posters from across Tāmaki Makaurau to showcase the recent developments in medical technology research in our local ecosystem and to open the opportunity for collaborative discussions. Medtech-iQ Tāmaki Makaurau is currently taking expressions of interest for research posters. Please fill out an application . here

About Medtech-iQ Aotearoa
Medtech-iQ Aotearoa is a national medical device and digital health innovation hub. Medtech-iQ Aotearoa provides context, networks and collaborations to support and streamline MedTech innovation and the technology commercialisation journey. By working with existing organisations and partners, Medtech-iQ Aotearoa surfaces the initiatives in place for MedTech innovation and identifies gaps in the ecosystem to develop strategic solutions.
Medtech-iQ Aotearoa comprises four interlinked regional hubs in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington), Waitaha (Canterbury), and Ōtepoti (Dunedin). Each regional hub offers opportunities for networking, upskilling, and support that are open to all; research communities, clinical communities, and industry.
There are currently two programmes running under Medtech-iQ Aotearoa which you can get involved with – Te Tītoki Mataora, the MedTech Research Accelerator and the Australia-New Zealand BioBridge.
, consists of two linked programmes that encourage collaboration for the development, testing and translation of ideas into sustainable clinical solutions. The Research Accelerator Programme is a contestable fund for early-stage medical technologies working towards clinical application and commercialisation. The HealthTech Capability Programme offers workshops, expert office hours, networking opportunities and other resources to support the commercialisation journey for medical technologies.
