Te Tītoki Mataora | MedTech Research Translator supports New Zealand's research translation through available funding, upskilling support, and community partnerships.
Te Tītoki Mataora | MedTech Research Translator was established in 2021 to support researchers and clinicians through their research translation journey. We bridge the gap between public funded research outputs and commercial products with an emphasis on collaboration for the development, testing, and translation of ideas into sustainable clinical solutions.
Te Tītoki Mataora | MedTech Research Translator is an initiative of the Consortium for Medical Device Technologies (CMDT), a partnership between Universities of Auckland, Canterbury, and Otago, AUT, Victoria University of Wellington, Massey University, HealthTech Activator, and Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora. Our upskilling opportunities are also a partnership with the Aotearoa Brain Project.
Our programme is funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), the University of Auckland, and in-kind contributions from the CMDT partnership. Te Tītoki Mataora | MedTech Research Translator is a partner programme of Medtech-iQ Aotearoa.
