Mātauranga Māori
To build and improve the capacity of researchers to work with Māori communities and support student capability, we are ensuring Māori are creators and navigators in the development of next generation health technologies, and that the research community is confident and equipped to engage with Māori.
Workshops
Workshops are hosted regularly throughout the year. Sign up to our mailing list to find out when registrations open or take a look at the events page.
One on One Sessions
For research groups wanting to work with Māori or require assistance to ensure that a grant/project is responsive to and inclusive of a Māori perspective, one-on-one assistance and advice will be available by request. This includes project design advice and document preparation services. Please contact us to organise a time.
Summer Studentships
Every year, we host a summer studentship for undergraduate university students. This is a 10-week programme for Māori and Pacific young people to work with MedTech researchers at universities across Aotearoa and provide Te Ao Māori principles or Pacific worldviews to the project. Sign up to the mailing list to find out when mentor and studentship applications open.
